This is an original oil on canvas piece, 36 x 48 inches. This painting was inspired by my interest in cosmic phenomena and landscape art. I always paint intending to create a particular feeling in the viewer. In this painting, I wanted to create a feeling of hope and excited anticipation. The viewer might get the sense that they are on a grand adventure, or sitting on a hillside, enjoying the sunset on the horizon. I use colours that inspire me to create a warm and calming environment while placing cheeky swirls and brushstrokes of colour. It is what I imagine it would look like if starbursts or northern lights flickered in on the evening skyscape. I hope this painting finds its home with someone who appreciates the expansive feeling they get when they look at this landscape! It is painted on a gallery canvas and the image wraps around the sides which allows it to be hung as-is. However, it can also be taken to your favourite local framer to be framed if that is your preference!
